Elizabeth (Beth) Cazares
Feli is so grateful to have her mother, Beth Cazares as her business partner and office manager. Beth has always been so supportive of Feli’s dancing and dance career. She is the ultimate “Dance Mom”, and as a former dancer herself, she really understands and appreciates what it is like to have a passion for dance.
Felicia or (Feli) was born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. She began her dance journey at 4 years old in the style of Hula or Hawaiian dance. She began competing in Hula at age 5 and was dancing professionally at the Pacific Beach Hotel weekend luau shows by age 9 in Waikiki, Hawaii. Although Hula was her first dance love, at age 11 Feli was enrolled in a summer musical theatre program where she learned to tap dance, act and sing. When that session ended, she begged her mom to sign her up with a competitive dance studio. She joined the competition team at Nix Performing Arts Center in Aiea, Hawaii at 12 years old until the of age 18. She competed at many regional and national level competitions through-out the west coast winning Ms. Teen Spotlight Dance, and The Most Entertaining Dancer Award. She also had the opportunity to compete in the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival in 2009, Hawai’i’s most prestigious and televised hula competition and event. Feli went on to continue in dance throughout college and attended Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA on a four year Performing Arts scholarship. During her Junior year as a dance student, she was also awarded a scholarship to the American Dance Festival summer semester program at Duke University in North Carolina. She graduated in 2015 with a double major in both Dance and Communication. After graduation Feli moved back to Hawaii and directed the competition teams at Nix Performing Arts Center while working full time as the Director of Dance at Sacred Hearts Academy, a private K-12 school in Honolulu, Hawaii. In August of 2018, Feli and her family moved to Brentwood, CA. Both in Hawaii and in California, she continued to train and dance on her own, occasionally performing in a few professional gigs including a modern dance company and as a commercial backup dancer. In 2020, with the support of her mother Beth Cazares, and her loved ones, Feli was finally able to achieve her dream. The dream of one day owning her very own dance studio, and the dream of being able to teach and share her passion of dance to all.
